Don't Drive Drunk

He is a superstar . He is a famous MC. He is also an idol in many teenagers’ recognition and heart. Recently he has done something unacceptable, at least in the eyes of general public. He drove his car after having drunk too much alcohol and undoubtedly his mind and body were in an uncontrollable as well as unconscious state. He seems to be a drunkard-to-be and a drunk driver now. He is none other than one of our favorite Thai superstars- Atthachai Anantamek or widely known as Dong. Not only was he called a drunk driver, he also used swearwords to the police officers while he was arrested and accused of drink driving. This event reflects something unknown to most people, that is to say, myriads of Thai people usually believe that their favorite superstars are good and well behaved for all seasons, but we should bear in mind that what we see might not be like what we have expected. Drink driving is an act of law violation and considered harmful and dangerous to people in general. Thus, Dong’s unforgivable case helps teach us not to drink and drive. What do you think? It seems to be a normal case for some stars to behave like this - drink, drunk and drive. Most of them are finally arrested by the police and ended by making apology to public again and again.
I think it can occur among general people, as in case of “Dong” because he is a man who has a heart and soul (ooh!) - a man who can feel of pressure and needs to relax by drinking and hanging around with friends.
No. No. No. No. Don’t think that I am taking side to “Dong”. I am telling the truth for some people only. By the way, are there any other ways to relax and release the feeling of pressure? Is drinking and getting drunk the best way to behave?
I myself don’t think it is the best idea in case of “Dong” though he is a normal one. Why doesn’t he find something more creative and useful for him and society? He can lead others to behave both among stars and community because he is an old and good image (in my opinion). How about doing activities such public service? I think we will enjoy ourselves with these as “Dong” should do. Let’s go!

One...two...three "Cheers!" .... ( at a party) Then...."Bang!" (a car crash)

There are thousands of time that drunk drivers causes someone to death by having a car crash. The drunk people always think that they are in conscious to do anything including driving - the activity which leads to take away the innocences' life. Being a star does not mean that he/she is privileged to break the law. I have heard several news about thai stars in the same case as Dong's broadcasted on TV or published in newspapers. Sometimes the drunk drivers don't cause a damage only to government's property but kill and cause many people to be disabled. It is a good example to warn any alcohol lovers to take a short time thinking before driving. However, I don't agree with the law punishment that force the above problemmakers to do something useful for the society, make appology and give a swear to public. That's not enough!!! The problemmakers should deserve some more serious punishment since other people's life which is damaged is more valuable than a bottle of liqour.

Moreover, as being super stars, they should get much more serious punishments than ordinary people because they are models for Thai citizens. Their behaviors and images have so much influence on Thai teens and youths since they are published through every channels of media. That behavior is not a good example for Thai adolescences to immitate. Thai stars should be aware that their roles in this society are not just being entertainment device but include having responsibility as models.

Unfortunately, he is superstar so there's must be something special. If ordinary one did like this, it would not be posted on front page of newspaper. Thus it's common thing for superstars to behave well in order to keep their images constantly. As they are public person, they should be a hero for audience especially a child. Jump to another issue, nowadays media influences our society so what audience recieves esp. a child, they would believe for more than 50%. It's serious.

No one can lives like a saint until the last day and we should not expect someone to be a perfect man. We all make a mistake that we can not forget even if we wanted to at least once in our life. Stars are not an exception. We consider stars as a public person for what reason? Are we expecting them to be the best role modal in our society? – I don’t think so. In my opinion, to be a public person sometime is a “burden”. Stars are expected by public to be someone more than they really are. We expect them to be a kind, generous, reasonable, hard – worker, entertain man and much more but we might forget that they are just an “ordinary people” that appears on television. In this case, I would like to ask everyone that “What do you want from him?” The crime was committed and he has been arrested – justice has been served.
